		<description><![CDATA[Friday 9th March till Sunday 11th March 2012]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: left;">The Pittwater Ceramic Award Exhibition was held from Friday 9th March till Sunday 11th March at Pittwater High School. There were 5 categories, such as Primary School&#8217;s Award, Secondary Schools Award, Teaching Staff Award, Tertiary Students Award and Ceramicist&#8217;s Award.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">I was lucky to be chosen the 3rd Prize!<br />

3rd Kieko Matsui</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">There was a big opening party with music and demonstration on Friday night, however I could not make it. Thank you for people who came to see my work and support the event.</p>

Instead, I will run workshop in January. The new workshop &#8220;<strong>IMAGE TRANSFER &amp; Drawing on Cup &amp; Saucer&#8221; </strong>is added along with<strong> Porcelain Hand built </strong>&amp;<strong> Drawing your own design on bowl Workshop.</strong></span></p>

<span style="color: #808080;"> Many people might have seen Keiko’s salt dishes at the market. It is made from porcelain, very thin with texture. Keiko will show you how to make salt dishes, as well as other small objects. You can make WHATEVER you like such as small cup, plate, spoon, or jewellery. Your work will be slowly dried and fired twice and will be glazed (clear only) so that you can pick up your work following week. It is a great opportunity for those who wanted to try porcelain clay. *Not necessary to bring if you don’t  have them.</span><br />

This workshop is very simple, but relaxing way of making your own designed bowl! (Rather than battling with clay on a wheel) You will use ceramic pencil, cobalt, and iron oxide to decorate on Keiko’s handmade porcelain bowl.You will learn how to dip glaze a bowl after decoration. Don’t worry, even if you think you cannot draw, there are lots of ways to decorate a bowl!</span></span></p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Many people might have seen Keiko’s salt dishes at the market. It is made from porcelain, very thin with texture. Keiko will show you how to make salt dishes, as well as other small objects. You can make WHATEVER you like such as small cup, spoon, or broaches. Keiko will fire your work twice and will also glaze it (clear only) so that you can pick up your work following week.<span> </span>It is a great opportunity for those who wanted to try porcelain clay.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">This workshop is very simple, but relaxing way of making your own designed bowl! (Rather than battling with clay on a wheel) You will use ceramic pencil, cobalt, and iron oxide to decorate on Keiko’s handmade porcelain bowl.You will learn how to dip glaze a bowl after decoration. Don’t worry, even if you cannot draw, there are lots of ways to decorate a bowl!</p>

The Artisans in the Gardens exhibition showcases the works of artisans who draw their inspiration from nature.<br />
I am exhibiting many blue &amp; white porcelain pieces as well as Chrysanthemum bowl &amp; vases.</p>
<p>I will be at the venue on the 8th(sat), 9th(sun), 15th(sat), and 16th(sun) October.<br />
